Powder mixing plant for pharmaceutical production
The pharmaceutical company Celgene manufactures a successful and modern medicinal product for dermatological and anti-rheumatic treatments. To ensure that the necessary production capacities are secured in the long term, Celgene commissioned a new powder mixing plant in Val-de-Travers, Neuchâtel.
The plant, which was delivered turnkey ready, mixes active ingredients and additives into a homogeneous powder. It includes two production lines, one of which was designed for peak production and the other for flexible multi-production. Both production lines fulfil the special safety requirements for processing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
Our solution
The heart of the powder mixing plant is the high-performance conveyor system with mobile transport containers that dock onto a central dosing and mixing station. The manufacture at amotec and assembly at Celgene were carried out in a modular manner. Every module consists of the respective process machinery and the associated work platform.
